We finally got the internet going, and the cable tv as well. Before today, everytime we came back to the dorm, we would go to slp. Sometimes when we do e laundry,we would play table tennis at the gym. We're improving on our table tennis skills here.

The place i'm working at is called Skytop, coz its situated on a mountain. It's not that cold here, unless it rains, if not it's as hot as Singapore. But not the sticky kind of hot tho. The culture here is really different, everywhere we go we have to say hi to the people we see, even if we dunno them. If not they'll think we're rude. Making small talk with strangers is also common, and that's how we make frens here. So far, i've met Turkish, Slovakians, French, Serian, Morrocans.. they're really nice ppl and i think mine n Jh's english is better than theirs. haha.

The dorm we stay in is abt 1km plus to Skytop, and there's a shuttle every half hr to pick us up.Meals are provided at the employee cafeteria at Skytop, their food is just so unhealthy. Always get pasta, hotdogs, fried stuff and ice cream cake n pies. There's also salad n fruits, but i'd rather eat steamed or soupy stuff. I miss noodles in soup. N u noe wat.. there's no hot water at the dorm! i feel like eating the instant noodles i brought. We are sharing e room with one taiwanese girl, she was here 2 weeks b4 us, n she cant speak much eng so cant img how she managed to get ard here. She's really nice, which is good. I get to prac chi talking to her, haha.

Back at NY, we visited the Statue of Liberty. It's not that big afterall.. after seeing it in movies n all. The beds at the New Yorker hotel were so comfy.. everynite i had a good nite's slp. Love e pillows too... mmm.


Yesterday was my first day off, luckily it was JH'S off too, so we managed to get a car ride to walmart! so fun, we spent 3hrs walking ard n i spent 45usd on a tinkerbell pyjama pants, tshirt, miniskirt, some neccisities, a $10calling card and some foot cream coz my heels were so badly cracked from standing long hrs.

I feel so homesick, n working is a chore bcoz e ppl i work with are hard to communicate with.. or maybe coz im e unsociable kind. feel so lonely sometimes. but there's lots to do here actually, there's n activity centre where we can play sports like tennis, badminton, rock climbing. there are nature trails to walk, this place has 5500 acres of land! its split into cottages, a lodge n e inn. Im working at the inn. which is much more quiet than e lodge, so not many ppl for meals. but e view is just spectacular. it overlooks a wide lake. feel so peaceful n serene.
